Wrap Up A Cure Week

WELCOME MESSAGE

Dear Members,

I hope that you have all had a relaxing summer. It is time to get back to work, with that in mind I want to remind you to make sure you get your licensure turned in. All Athletic Trainers regardless of employment must be licensed to practice. Go to the links page and click on the advisory board link and renew your license today. Even though you can renew on line you still must send in your CEU and CPR cards to the regulation and license board.

Take some time and invest in your professionalism by joining the NMHSCA and get extra liability insurance. The investment is not only for your protection but will also develop public relations with those you work with.

We are currently working with the NMAA with a process to get passes for those high school athletic trainers who wish to get one. This process will be discussed with you shortly. In the meantime it is never too early to start thinking about coverage of state events, contact Missy to give her heads up.

We are looking at the weekend of October 17 to help out a worth while cause, we are “Wrapping up the Cure” to help out the breast cancer foundation. Your Association will need all of its members help to get this done. Information regarding the particulars will be coming shortly.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact any one of your Board, We will be glad to help out in any way. On a personal note I would like to thank all of you for your prayers and well wishes during this summer. I know that any loss is tough but it is wonderful to know that my friends are also my peers. I always knew that athletic trainers were and will be the best support group.

Respectfully,

Tim "doc" Acklin ATC,LAT
NMATA President
